This is the scan of a negative my dad must have taken at Rehobeth Beach, Delaware, over the summer of 1968. My niece Laura was born in 1967, nearly one year after my sister Sue and Peter Turkel got married. Were they alive, they would have celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary this year on, I believe, June 3. Peter was killed in an auto accident in 1987, and my sister was severely brain-injured, leaving her in a persistent vegetative state for thirteen years. She finally died in 1999. Laura lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It's bittersweet to see them so happy so long ago.
