Lewis and Clark project
We drew our images from a book in the school library at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. There were hundreds of images to choose from, but only one paragraph of text, and it concerned only the day the group left St. Louis. Suddenly the choice of images was restricted to two or three only that had to do with the material described in the paragraph. It was an exercise in matching text and image, something a good graphic designer must learn to do. All the designs were mounted on black matboard for presentation.
