Artists' Books > Working/Lives

This artist's book contains eight interviews. I've selected one photo from each of six chapters. The icon for the book is taken from the chapter on me, in which the bookcase in my bedroom in Otis is shown. Each interviewee tells the story of his or her working life, from first job to present. The project was one of those I did for a photography class at the University of Massachusetts. At this time, the information is out of date, so I probably will not have it printed. I've also learned, since I designed the book, better ways of scanning and adjusting photographs. Redoing the project would be fairly useless at this point. Mostly it's an exercise in photography and interviewing, some parts of which worked quite well, others did not.
