This Windy Hill Farm Nursery ad will be the first of three typical ads I decided to put up. Judy Mareb, my client, writes a very wordy ad, giving many horticultural terms and trying to squeeze in as many of her offerings as she can. I've chosen ads I sent to Shopper's Guide, the Advocate, and The Litchfield County Times. Every week I had five ads to send to six or seven clients. I also had monthly ads to send to seven or eight other clients. The nursery was a wonderful place, with very high-quality cultivars for sale. I made these ads before I came to Chicago.
